Banquet Supervisor 

Position Purpose:

Our growing company is looking for a banquet supervisor. Assists the Events Sales Manager with the management, direction and organization of banquet operations to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follow and comply with all safety and sanitation policies 
  • Develop colleagues in their role assist with career development 
  • Complete performance evaluations with employees on a yearly basis 
  • Participate and lead in scheduled departmental meetings 
  • Work with the Conference Services and Catering Department to ensure revenues and guest satisfaction levels are maximized 
  • Directly responsible for the daily supervision of the banquet housemen 
  • Responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with each meeting planner (in-house) to ensure that all last-minute requests and changes are provided and noted on BEO 
  • Providing exceptional Guest Service Completing guest checks with accuracy 
  • Ability and willingness to follow established processes and procedures 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior Banquet Set-Up, hospitality and/or supervisory experience preferred 
  • Handles last-minute requests 
  • Communicates changes to appropriate departments 
  • Meets daily with Banquet Manager and new floor supervisor for shift turnover 
  • Provides, in conjunction with the banquet manager, the necessary training for each banquet housemen - follows through to ensure that all housemen consistently maintain high-quality standards

 

NOTICE:

The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
